There was a gun that River was holding in the first(?) movie poster design. I don't *think* it was Vera (but that would have been cool).

Keith said it would be on the book cover design.

The gun is gone

The MPAA made them remove the gun from the final movie poster (somthing about underage character holding a gun - silly if you ask me). So it looks like they are using the same artwork for the book. I liked it better with the gun. Oh well.

Finally amazon.com can get rid of that stupid (who is that 8th character) promo shot they have been using as a placeholder artwork for your book.

Personally I would have preffered a more standard SF cover with the ship, and the crew and space (like the Firefly DVD set cover). But this is pretty cool.

I love how Zoe seems to be glaring at Jayne at the bottom. :)

It just seems a little odd that the title isn't very prominent. I would have expected it to be bigger, since there's so much extra black space at the bottom.

I can't wait to read it! It's actually above Harry Potter on my must-read-now list!!
