SCPD: The Case of the Claw is now a codex book!
For those of you who eschew the e-reading experience, take heart! SCPD: The Case of the Claw is now available in print form, for all your page-turning needs! Now you can hold the awesome Mike Collins/Glenn Hauman cover in your hot little hands!

And if you're not sure whether or not to buy it....
"In this first book of a planned series about the S.C.P.D., the real reward is the immersive, behind-the-scenes look at all the ways a world where supermen exist and do battle might affect the lives of everyday people … from those caught in the crossfire to those who must clean up the mess. Thanks to DeCandido’s solid character work, it’s easy to care about what happens to the citizens of Super City. Definitely recommended. 8/10."
---Kirsten Heffron, Sci-Fi Bulletin

"The Case of the Claw is also a well done procedural story. Keith R.A DeCandido takes all the usual parts of such a story and adapts them to the superhero setting without making it unbelievable or relying on the 'super' parts to solve the mystery. It’s plain old police work that leads to the discovery of the secrets behind the Claw’s origins, even if those secrets wouldn’t feel out of place in a Fantastic Four comic – and that’s the beauty of this novel: it combines those two seemingly unrelated settings and it feels like a natural fit."
---Jens Deffner (defcons_treklit), Unreality SF

"It’s an interesting take on superhero deconstruction. Largely because in comics, the villain is presumed guilty. When Batman hangs The Joker by his feet from a lamp post and swings away, everyone just assumes that justice is served. But in real life, every villain is innocent until proven guilty. And without evidence and witnesses to testify in court, the cops can’t hold a supervillian. (and since Batman is an urban legend, who are prosecutors going to send the subpoena to?)"
---Tracy S. Morris

So check it out, a'ready!

Yup! Years ago, Mike did character designs for a lot of the characters in SCPD -- in a previous incarnation, it was an attempt at a comic book -- and Glenn Hauman used those for the cover.

Mike also did all but three of the ebook covers for the Star Trek: Starfleet Corps of Engineers series.
