I need to share here that Keith played the part of the Modern Major General and sang the original song when he was in about second grade, I think. We spent quite a wonderful car ride explaining all the references in the song, and gave him a book of G&S lyrics that I believe he still has. Since he was also the smallest kid in that performance, it was very effective visually too.
