Wrote 2701 words today -- 701 words over my goal -- bringing "When the Magic Goes Away" to 4761 words. I've divided the story into 12 tiny chapters, which will be at least 1000 words each, some more, some less. I'm figuring a 15,000 word story at this point. We'll see how it goes. Wrote 1700 of those words this morning at a Barnes & Noble in Stamford, waiting for wrenn to finish her half-day's work, then we went to a yacht club for her company's picnic. (Yes, really.) It was very nice -- they had a pool, and lots of food, and it was great. They fed us a yummy dinner, too, and did I mention free drinks? Yeah. I'm really sorry this is only a contract job she has with them........... Anyhow, onward to another 2000 words (at least) tomorrow. But for now, to bed!
