Friday fanfare: "Atheists Don't Have No Songs"
Here's Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers singing "Atheists Don't Have No Songs." The gesture for "lower-case" had me ROFL in particular (as it did the audience for David Letterman, whence this performance derives):

Friday fanfare: "Atheists Don't Have No Songs"
Using double negatives is very poor grammaticaly. If you don't have NO songs, you must therefore have *some* songs. A double negative is a positive! Steve Martin and co have egg on their faces, I thought they'd be more intelligent than this.

The double negative is there because the culture is so INSANELY connected to gospel/worship/religious music, that the very idea of Atheist Bluegrass is anathema. Martin's song is there to prove the point that this is not so, but the mainstream religious believer culture is so bully dominant we never hear the other side.

I got a big kick out of this. I'm a Steve Martin fan from way back! Did you see him on "Saturday Night Live" this past weekend? He even did the Three Amigos with Martin Short and Chevy Chase.
