we're #187!

According to the ICv2 site, Farscape #1 was ranked 187th in sales for December 2008. It was the best-selling comic published by BOOM! that month.

That may not sound like much, but considering what a stranglehold Marvel and DC have on the market, that's pretty damned good. Of the top 100, 96 of them are from the big two, with three of those exceptions being the Joss Whedon-approved-and-directed Buffy and Angel post-finale comics and a Star Wars title. (The fourth is The Boys from Dynamite, a Garth Ennis/Darick Robertson title.)

Looking at the other stuff in the general vicinity of Farscape's numbers, you've got Wolverine, Red Sonja, Witchblade, Jonah Hex, Indiana Jones, Transformes, and The X-Files. We also outsold WildC.A.T.S., Gen13, Doctor Who, Star Trek, 30 Days of Night, Army of Darkness, The Simpsons, Ghostbusters, The Savage Dragon, Shonen Jump, The Dresden Files (sorry, Jim!), Sir Apropos of Nothing (sorry, Peter!), and Sonic the Hedgehog.

I can live with that. *wry grin*
