:( I loved the Riverworld series and Lord Tyger was interesting. He'll be missed.

I loved Farmer as a kid reading SF, and I love the whole Wold Newton thing, even if I'll never be able to undertand it all.

The jungle is unnaturally quiet, the windows on the 86th Floor are dark, the ancient city of Opar is populated only by hollow echos. The Lord of the Jungle and the Man of Bronze have vanished.

The Keeper of their Flame is gone, and we are the poorer for it.

Oh, no. Riverworld was one of my favorite series when I was a young reader, just getting into sci-fi.

My husband will certainly be sad as a couple of Farmer's books are among his favorites.
