quick thoughts on TV and movies

I'll try to be more in-depth with this stuff later, but...

Watchmen: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Billy Crudup, and especially Jackie Earle Haley were amazing, but while this was probably the best movie that could've been made of Watchmen, mostly the movie proved that this should've been a 12-part HBO miniseries.

Castle: Delightful. Will be reviewing this (along with Cold Squad, Burn the Lead, and DaVinci's Inquest) on "Couch Potato Salad" for next week's The Chronic Rift podcast.

Penguins of Madagascar: Need to catch up with this (thank you, DVR!).

Supernatural: Some great great great great episodes this season, but I'm pissed that they keep killing off interesting characters.

CSI: NY: No, I don't know why I'm still watching, but damn do I loves me some Emanuelle Vaugier.

Kings: Brilliant and doomed. I'll be ranting on the Rift about how NBC screwed the pooch on marketing this.

Dollhouse: Lost interest after two episodes. Still think the premise is dumber than a box of hammers, and Eliza Dushku's range doesn't extend beyond Faith, which is a problem for a role that's supposed to be the perfect chameleon.

Lost: The show has gone from a show about characters with the occasional bit of plot to the exact opposite. Enjoying the ride, but there's not a lot of substance there, though there are bits I adore. Also: where the fuck is Faraday?

Also: In Plain Sight and Law & Order: Criminal Intent are back on Sunday! *dances jig*
