Apparently, this is a sign that President Obama is elitist: he puts mustard on his burger.
Sweet fucking Jesus. This is fun-making on the level of a particularly unimaginative eight-year-old.
Leaving aside the obvious stupidity of this whole thing, I'm well and truly sick of the notion that being an elitist is somehow bad. I'm going to quote Aaron Sorkin, who wrote a dialogue sequence of his fictional President Jed Bartlet giving advice to Senator Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign for a Maureen Dowd New York Times column, which included the following bit of truth:
You were raised by a single mother on food stamps — where does a guy with eight houses who was legacied into Annapolis get off calling you an elitist? And by the way, if you do nothing else, take that word back. Elite is a good word, it means well above average. I’d ask them what their problem is with excellence.
