The cynic in me figures she's getting out of Dodge before the next scandal (latest in a series, collect 'em all!) hits her. Besides, now she can focus on her 2012 Presidential bid, where she won't even have her record as the unethical (as determined by a bipartisan committee) leader of a state that has a population that's half that of the Bronx to fall back on to show her *cough* "experience."
But hey, if nothing else, as terri_osborne pointed out, it got the cable news stations to stop talking about Michael Jackson. The worst was yesterday, when MSNBC -- in a classic fit of eating its own tail -- did a news story on whether or not there were too many news stories about MJ. Yeesh.
