the plan.....

Okay, I've got an urban fantasy, a YA project, and a mystery, all of which are being done on spec. The problem is that I just don't have time to work on spec projects for any great length because I need to focus on things that will bring money nownownownowNOW!

Meanwhile, Supernatural: Heart of the Dragon is due 1 October and I'm back to churning out a Farscape comics script per week starting this weekend.

So for the next couple of months, I'm going to try an experiment.

One hour per day -- no more, no less -- will be spent on one of the three spec projects.

Weekdays will be spent working on Heart of the Dragon -- if I do 1625 words per day, I'll have it done with three days to spare (assuming the word count is commensurate with Nevermore and Bone Key, and even though this novel has a bit more scope than those, I don't think it'll be much longer; ask me again in mid-September if I'm right *grin*).

Weekends will be spent writing Farscape comics. Of course, several weekends in the next two months have conventions in them: 4Pi-Con, Fan Expo, Dragon*Con, and FenCon. But that's what laptops are for....

We'll see if this actually works or not. Wibble.
