greetings from Gate 19

Here I sit at JFK, waiting for my flight to board. Got here 90 minutes before takeoff. Even with the self-serve kiosk unable to read my passport and the fifty-billion-mile walk to the gate (really, I think this gate is actually in LaGuardia, I walked so far......), I still got to the gate way earlier than necessary. It helped that the security line ahead of me consisted of naught but a single family of six. The woman who checked my passport was nice, asking the derivation of "Andreassi" (the passport includes the full name, Keith Robert Andreassi DeCandido).

Dunno what kind of 'net access I'll have in Canuck territory, so if you don't hear from me until Monday night, that's why......
