Robbie Greenberger

Since Bob has gone public, I can be less cryptic.....

The friend who has Acute Myelogenous Leukemia is Robbie Greenberger, son of fellow author/editor and very good friend Bob Greenberger, and brother of my fellow Boogie Knight Kate Greenberger.

I've watched Robbie grow up over the years, seen him go from a happy-go-lucky kid to a great adult. I have every faith in his ability to beat this (AML is treatable), but still, if you can spare a thought or two toward him and his family, it'd be appreciated.

This is Bob's post on the subject.

Good luck, my friend....

bone key

progress...

Broke 40,000 words yesterday.

Dare I hope to break 50 today? We shall see...........................

And because I love you all, a brief excerpt from an early chapter. We open Chapter 2 with Sam, Dean, and Bobby on New Year's Eve watching the ball drop on Bobby's TV at the Singer Salvage Yard.

Keep in mind that this is a draft, and may change between now and September when Bone Key is published, and also that all this is copyright © 2008 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.

klingon empire

first review of A Burning House

Jeff Ayers has reviewed Star Trek: Klingon Empire: A Burning House at TrekWeb.

Money quote:

The depth of the characters and insight into the Klingon home world make this the best Klingon novel DeCandido has written to date. Each chapter highlights one of the many stories, and he does a masterful job juggling the numerous storylines. Magnificent in scope, it will leave readers desperate for another adventure with all of the characters, not just Klag and his ship.
