Simpsons KRAD

I am domestic boy, hear me clean....

Today I boxed up a big pile of magazines and magazine-sized comic books for eventual moving to the garage (I still have to buy more shelving units, which I'll be doing this weekend when I have a car to take to Target and do so), and shelved all of the mass-market paperbacks through to the letter T. The remainder of the mass-markets will go on the bookcase that I'm going to get at Home Depot on Wednesday, which will go where the big pile of comic book boxes are now (those are also going to the garage). I also threw the garbage and did a load of dishes.

Then lunch, then a nap. Now I shower and head up to Starbucks to work on the revised proposal for StarCraft: Ghost Academy and maybe a bit on SCPD before karate tonight.

myriad universes

new cover!

TrekMovie.com has posted a summer preview of what's coming from Pocket Books, including revealing the covers for the Star Trek: Myriad Universes trade paperbacks, with nifty-keen art by John Picacio. These two trades will each have three short novels in them (same format as 2007's Mirror Universe books), each of which will be a "what if?" (or, if you prefer DC to Marvel metaphors, "elseworlds") story in the Trek universe.

The second one is the important one, of course, as that has my short novel A Gutted World in it. Here's the back cover for my sixth of this event:

A GUTTED WORLD by Keith R.A. DeCandido
Terrorist Kira Nerys—from a Bajor that was never liberated—may hold the key to winning a war that has engulfed half the galaxy. But with the Romulans and the Klingons at each other’s throats, and the Federation pulled into the conflict, even victory may not bring salvation.

These books will be out in July and August.
