a nice review!

defcons_treklit has reviewed my Buffy the Vampire Slayer novel Blackout at Unreality SF.

Money quote:

In the process of telling Nikki Wood's backstory Keith R.A. DeCandido, a native New Yorker, very skillfully gives the reader a feeling for the New York of the seventies, even to someone like me, who neither has been to New York, nor has any personal memories of the seventies (I was born in 1979). The plot isn't overly convoluted, and tells a pretty straightforward story - Spike is in New York to kill the Slayer, and Nikki tries to bring down a criminal Vampire group, while fighting Spike at the same time.

things and stuff

Spent much of yesterday shelving books, and hurt my back enough to make karate impossible. *sigh*

Spent much of today (and will spend more) beating my office into shape, which includes moving things to the garage. Right now pausing to take Marcus to the vet -- they need a urine sample.

I'll be doing more of the same tomorrow and all through the weekend.

Also been catching up on TV. I'm now up to date with Sci-Fi's airings of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which is completely charming, and am now working on Moonlight.

I now have 11 versions of "St. James Infirmary" on my iPod. I'm going through them one by one.....
