myriad universes

another review!

Michael Warren has reviewed Star Trek: Myriad Universes: Echoes and Refractions on his blog.

Money quote regarding A Gutted World:
The interwoven strands of conspiracy, treachery and desperation create a rich and fascinating tapestry. Everything connects, and everything has its purpose. The story is a constant escalation of events - a growing sense of impending doom pervades the early chapters, before that doom is unleashed upon the page.

There's that impending doom again..........

another Tuesday, another fighting class...

...another time when Senpai Ryon kicks me in the face.

One of these days I'll get through a class that he and I both attend without him kicking me in the face.

I am not, however, holding my breath.

Senpai Ryon is about eight feet tall, nine feet wide, and competes in international fighting tournaments all the time. So I've got an uphill climb here.

But in general, I'm happy with my progress in fighting class. I'm especially pleased that I got in a good front snap kick at Kyoshi's chest. Mind you, it's a victory the way scoring one run in a blowout was a victory for the Niners in "Take Me Out to the Holosuite," but I'll take my manufactured triumphs where I can get them....
