I love my life

I spent a good chunk of this evening talking politics with George Takei, Walter Koenig, and Peter David.

Hee!

Peter and his lovely wife Kathleen puppetmaker40 invited us to a lovely evening of fun, food (from Fat Matt's Rib Shack), and frolic, as well as some entertaining MST3King of the masquerade. Many nifty people were present, among them (and I know I'm forgetting folks) Kevin J. Anderson, Rebecca Moesta, John "Fenn Shysa" Hudgins, Mike Baron, and many more that I'm forgetting because I'm a moron.

That was one of the highlights of a highlight-filled day that started with me and terri_osborne doing an author's cavalcade for the TrekTrak, continued with Terri's very successful interview of Robert Picardo for the Star Trek Magazine, me chatting with Gigi Edgley, Michael Dorn, David Franklin, and Dean Haglund, Terri and I handing a copy of Prophecy and Change to Avery Brooks, attending the Miss Klingon beauty pageant, me doing a fun-filled panel on Doctor Who canon, Peter and Kath's shindig, and then me and Mike Stackpole talking about writing.

I've sold many many books and gotten much applause and glee at the news of my Farscape comic book.

Tomorrow I hope to see miintikwa (and give her the twelve bucks I owe her) and meet zen_sakka--a meal is on the agenda--and also do my final three panels: on Trek comics, writing secondary characters, and Who in other media.
