First Ten Songs playing on iTunes after hitting "shuffle":

"Watch Her Disappear" by Tom Waits
"Blues Jam" by Jethro Tull
"Furry Sings the Blues" by Joni Mitchell & The Band
"The Closer You Get" by the Laura Black Band
"Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine" by Bob Dylan & The Band
"Nobody's Car" by Jethro Tull
"If I Lose" by The Band
"That Was Your Mother" by Paul Simon
"Highway 61 Revisited" by Bob Dylan & The Band
"Sweet Cycle" by Tito & Tarantula

On my iTunes can be found: 4185 songs, which would play for 44.7 days straight without repitition, if I so desired.

Most represented artist: Jethro Tull with 447 songs, which would play for one day continuously.

Second most represented artist: Bruce Springsteen with 198 songs, which would play for 15.3 hours continuously. (Bob Dylan is a very close third with 195.)

Top 10 most played songs (this list is skewed, as my play count re-set a while back, and it did so when I was on a big Arlo Guthrie kick after seeing him in concert, so this isn't a very good representation of what I listen to generally....):

"Mapleview (20%) Rag" by Arlo Guthrie
"St. James Infirmary" by Arlo Guthrie (live version on Live at Sydney)
"Solo le Pido a Dios" by Tao Rodriguez-Seeger & Pete Seeger
"Lightning Bar Blues" by Arlo Guthrie
"Coming Into Los Angeles" by Arlo Guthrie
"Shade of the Old Apple Tree" by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
"St. James Infirmary" by Arlo Guthrie (live version on In Times Like These)
"Stealin'" by Arlo Guthrie
"In Times Like These" by Arlo Guthrie
"When the Ship Comes In" by Arlo Guthrie

support my walking for breast cancer research -- time is running out!

I'm participating -- along with several fellow karateka -- in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a walk/run to support breast cancer research this coming Sunday.

Please click on the above paragraph to support me. I was hoping to raise $500, and I've only raised $355. So please, support me. I'm going to be walking on a smashed little toe -- that should be worth a few bucks, right? *grin*

Also, as a team we've raised $2720, and it'd be nice to hit an even $3000.

Go, Team Kenshikai!

Joan Winston, RIP

Joan Winston, one of the grand old ladies of Star Trek fandom, one of the people who ran the first-ever Star Trek convention, has died after a lengthy illness.

I had the pleasure of being on panels with Joanie several times, including a memorable Farscape panel at Lunacon in 2000. I wish she could've lived to see the Farscape comic book.

Rest in peace, Joanie. You've earned it.
