Robin Williams is still the funniest man in the world

Performing at Prince Charles's 60th birthday concert, Robin Williams discusses the U.S. Presidential election. He's introduced by John Cleese.

I split my sides laughing at this one. Probably the best line was asking, regarding Governor Sarah Palin, "Did Ronald Reagan and Posh Spice have a child?"

Check it out, but don't drink anything....

Scribe decision made

For a variety of reasons, I've decided to submit Supernatural: Bone Key for consideration in the Speculative Fiction/Best Novel--Original category. It was tough, and the arguments that folks made for Star Trek: Klingon Empire: A Burning House and Star Trek: Myriad Universes: A Gutted World were very strong, and I greatly appreciate them.

But ultimately, I think that Bone Key stands the best chance of actually winning. So that's what goes. Yes, I'm a whore. *laughs*

It and CSI: NY: Four Walls (for General Fiction/Best Novel--Original) are going out to the judges and to the IAMTW today.

happy-thing-a-day meme, day 2

As per this meme, I am posting one happy thing a day for a week.

Two things: my sweetie wore a shirt today that I don't remember ever seeing her in, and she looked really really really really good in it.

I was all set for that to be the one thing, but I have to post this as well, as it just came in over e-mail: Blizzard has approved the plot for Volume 1 of StarCraft: Ghost Academy, so I can start scripting the sucker.....
