more first printings of Farscape #1 unearthed!
Proof that you should clean out your warehouse....
BOOM! dug up a limited supply of first printings of Farscape #1 (about 40-50 of each of the three covers), so if you want a first printing, you should order from BOOM!'s web site before supplies run out again.

POPCORN & SADNESS
A 2007 Journal of Marketing study found that people watching sad movies tended to consume more popcorn than those watching happy movies. Thirty-eight subjects were asked to view either the 2002 upbeat comedy Sweet Home Alabama or the 1970 tearjerker Love Story. By the end of the movies, subjects watching Love Story had consumed 36 percent more "buttered" popcorn than those watching Sweet Home Alabama. Researchers theorized that, when sad, people may be more likely to seek momentary satisfaction in food--regardless of its (lack of) nutritional content.

Farpoint schedule
Sorry to be so late posting this, but here's what I believe to be my schedule for Farpoint 2009. (Nobody at the con bothered to inform me what my schedule would be, so I had to seek it out on the web site....)
Friday
9pm: "Supernatural: The Boys are Back" (Chesapeake 1) -- I'm not sure if I'm on this panel or not, but I may crash it for obvious reasons.
Saturday
11.30am-12.30pm: Boogie Knights concert (Greenspring 1/Main Ballroom) -- We'll be debuting a couple new songs, so check it out.
12.30-2pm: Boogie Knights autographing (Atrium Rear) -- We're listed as starting at noon, but since we'll still be performing at noon.....
2-3pm: An Hour with Keith R.A. DeCandido (Dulaney 2) -- I'll be reading, uh, something and doing a Q&A.
3-4pm: "Comic Books Go Cosmic" (Chesapeake 1) -- Discussing SF comics (like, uh, Farscape...).
4-5pm: Robbie Greenberger Memorial (Dulaney 2) -- I'll be in the audience for this one.
Sunday
10am-12pm: Autographing (Atrium Rear).
I may poke my head into a podcasting panel or two.............

We have arrived safely in Timonium for Farpoint, and I just got off the phone with the Mighty Chip at BOOM! where I have been told that I will be attending WonderCon, where I will be mostly at the BOOM! booth shilling Farscape comics.
