little krad

toodling along.....

About to head down to breakfast -- the second part of any good B&B -- and thence to my grandmother's. Yesterday we got in to the B&B in the late afternoon, then headed to Gramma's for lasagne (prepared in Little Italy in the Bronx) and birthday cake (from a place in New York that I don't remember the name of, but which I'm sure girasole will provide ere long).

Today we're having lunch with the rest of the seniors in her building, which ought to prove amusing, and then we're visiting some relatives in a nearby nursing home, then afternoon tea at a new place that opened up locally.

Gramma looks better than she did last fall, but she's still incredibly forgetful and tends to have the same conversation several dozen times. We're all used to it by now -- this has been going on for a year and a half now -- but it can be very draining to have a conversation with her.

Still, she had a wonderful birthday and the celebratory stuff should continue today.

More later....
