more Eames!!!!!

I'm a huge fan of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and I'm actually a bigger fan of Eames (Kathryn Erbe) than I am of Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio). The last few seasons, due to the exhausting schedule required for D'Onofrio and Erbe, the show has alternated between two detective teams. With the new season commencing this Sunday, the other team will be Wheeler (the returning Julianne Nicholson) and Zack Nichols (new arrival Jeff Goldblum).

However, according to this story, Nicholson is pregnant, and can't do every episode, so once her maternity leave kicks in, Erbe will do double duty, teaming with both partners for the final four episodes of the new season.

While I'd love to see Alicia Witt return as the acerbic Falacci (who is eight billion times more interesting than the bland Wheeler), or even Annabella Sciorra returning as Barek, I'm all for anything that gives the magnificent Erbe more screen time. She gets too little to do as it is, so I'm more than happy for this to be happening....

Friday meme:

Wearing: blue t-shirt with breast pocket that has Marvin the Martian standing over the pocket and Daffy Duck hunched under the pocket; blue jeans; sneakers.

Reading: about to start Cruel Sister by debg. After that I'm going to start on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes library.

Writing: have to revise D'Argo's Lament #4, write Chapter 4 of Ghost Academy Volume 1, write a tie-in proposal, and write some comics pages; that's by Tuesday.

Planning: today I have several errands to run, and we're recording a Chronic Rift podcast tonight; tomorrow is my 40th birthday, and me and the family will be spending the day at the Bronx Zoo and the evening having dinner at a a favorite restaurant near the zoo; Sunday, I write a lot.....

The Writer of Stuff and The Face of Bob disappear from the Google

For some reason, the web sites of my good friends Peter David and Robert Greenberger have been de-listed from Google. Dunno why, but in order to get it back, there need to be lots and lots of links, like the ones in this paragraph.

In fact, according to this post on ComicMix by Glenn Hauman, the web master for both sites, the best thing to do is link specific places on the site, like, say, Peter's biography or Bob's post on his late son's Robbie's 21st birthday that he didn't live to celebrate or Peter's review of The Incredible Hulk and Get Smart or Bob talking about lunch with Jim Warren.

I'm to be roasted at Shore Leave!

It's official. On Friday night at Shore Leave 31 this July will be the First Annual Shore Leave Comedy Roast for Charity.

The lucky bastard who will be the first roastee?

With Bob Greenberger serving as the MC, and Peter David, Marco Palmieri, David Mack, Dayton Ward, Kevin Dilmore, Michael Jan Friedman, Kirsten Beyer, and Glenn Hauman serving as the roasters.

It's for charity, to benefit the American Red Cross. There will also be a cash bar. There's a one-hour mix-and-mingle from 7-8pm, where use of said bar is encouraged, as the proceedings will seem much funnier after a few drinks. *chuckle*

This has been in the works for a while now, and it looks to be a great deal of fun. If folks are wondering why I agreed to it -- remember that roastees always get the last word. *bwah-hah-hah* And if you're wondering why terri_osborne isn't one of the roasters -- why bother? It's too much like a normal day for her.... *snerf*

Anyhow, y'all should definitely come and check it out -- if for no other reason than the charity.
