I love that cat -- no, really!

So Aoki's lying on my stomach area, as she often does for both terri_osborne and myself. However, there's a reason why one of her nicknames is "ADD-oki" -- she was distracted by a shiny thing and launched off my tummy -- from right around the kidney area. Not only was this enough to wake me, it also meant that suddenly I had to pee.

Sigh. And now, of course, I can't get back to sleep.

I love that cat. I really do. That's why I haven't killed her.....

supernatural, nevermore

Misha Collins roolz!

Misha Collins had a recurring role on Supernatural this past season as the angel Castiel, who dragged Dean Winchester out of hell so he could play an important role in the war against demonkind. Originally intended to only be in six episodes, his role was expanded, and he's apparently going to be a regular next season.

He also tweets, according to this LJ post from apocalypsos, and he is one gleefully twisted little monkey.

yes, more of: buy my books!

While cleaning out my old office (now the library), I found some additional stuff: copies of Star Trek: The Next Generation: Perchance to Dream, some more specific editions of the Farscape comic books, and a few copies of In the Hunt and Star Wars on Trial.

Whatever you wish to buy, you can do so by sending me the money via PayPal to keith@decandido.net. Let me know what you want, and provide enough money to cover the prices listed below of the books you want. Also give me a shipping address, and let me know who you want me to inscribe the autographed book(s) to (if anyone). All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Shipping is free with these exceptions: 1. If you are buying comic books, specifically three or fewer of them, shipping is $4 (it's free if you buy four or more). 2. If you are outside the U.S., then I will ask you to PayPal me the shipping cost once I send it off (so send me the amount for the books to start, then expect to send me more after I mail *grin*).

If you have any questions, post 'em here or e-mail me at the e-mail address above.

and it was going so well...

I was cleaning out the last of the stuff in the library that either has to be shelved or placed in my room. In the midst of shelving some paperbacks, the hardcover shelf above it collapsed and all the books nearly fell on me. I was able to avoid that, but still....

Sigh.

Luckily, I got back to my desk and found an e-mail from Ian at BOOM! with the lettered pages of Farscape: Strange Detractors to go over. That gave me something productive to do and allowed me to calm down.

I will go back in shortly....

paralogia, Republican version

The American Heritage Dictionary defines paralogia as follows: "False reasoning; self-deception."

That's the word that comes to mind when reading this blog entry at CNN's Political Ticker:
"We are going to take this President on with class, we are going to take this President on with dignity," Steele will say. "This will be a very sharp and marked contrast to the shabby and classless way that the Democrats and the far left spoke of the last President."

The RNC meeting wraps up on Wednesday with a scheduled vote on a controversial resolution that calls on Democrats to rename their party the "Democrat Socialist Party."

That's one way to avoid being shabby and classless, youbetcha......

back to fighting class

Tonight was my first fighting class in, uh, a while. And I went to the regular class beforehand, which was a crowded class (13 people -- seven black belts, six color belts), and during which I and the three advanced green belts went over a bunch of katas and self-defenses. I was starting to lose it around the 11th round (we did 15), as I started making dumb mistakes, but considering my three-week absence, I did pretty well. And I'm getting better at defending against kicks, which makes me happy.

Now, though, I'm poopied.........

The last lines meme, in which you provide the last sentence of your novels. (Please note that I'm not including "TO BE CONTINUED" or anything like that, nor am I counting the epigraphs at the end of A Time for War, a Time for Peace and Serenity as a last line.)
