StarCraft: Ghost Academy is a three-volume (at least) manga series that will take place while Nova -- the main character in my novels Nova and the forthcoming Spectres, as well as in the aborted StarCraft: Ghost game -- was being trained as a ghost. Volume 1 will debut in January 2010, written by me, and with art by Fernando Furukawa. Fernando has worked on Warcraft: Legends (illustrating "Crusader's Blood," Dan Jolley's story for Volume 3) and also provided the art for TokyoPop's Tantric Stripfighter Trina (written by Ken Faggio).
The book is going to look very very nice, I think. *smile*

Coming out this week -- on Thursday, because of the holiday -- is Farscape: D'Argo's Lament #2. Because of a mild screwup, the preview pages sent out to Comic Book Resources and Comics Continuum are pages 2-7 rather than 1-6, but it's actually still a good tease.
The surviving members of the Don't Quit Your Day Job Players have been exchanging e-mails on this tenth anniversary week of the recording of Blues Spoken Here, and drummer Tom Laubenthal sent along this picture of the five of us during the recording session, taken by coproducer/engineer Joe Docthermann.
The Mothers' Union is a Christian organization with 3.6 million members worldwide. In October 2006, the union published a booklet entitled Fair Enough? which proposed ten modern "commandments" to aid the poor and fight climate change:
1. Turn off the television and other electrical equipment at the mains. 2. Use energy-efficient lightbulbs. 3. Use computers less. 4. Turn down the central heating by one degree centigrade. 5. Reduce plane travle. 6. Use public transport. 7. Buy secondhand clothes and other goods. 8. Switch to ethically registered banks and investments. 9. Use local shops that stock fair-trade, vegetarian, and organic produce. 10. Reuse and recycle everything where possible.

This week is the release of Farscape: D'Argo's Lament #2 -- it's out Thursday because of the holiday. Next week, we get not only Farscape: Strange Detractors #3 -- which features the return of four onscreen characters we haven't seen in the comics yet -- but the hardcover collection of the first miniseries, "The Beginning of the End of the Beginning." I'm told by reliable sources that the hardcover looks fantastic. *grin*
