Dead Kitchen Radio update and new schedule

December's craziness has kept me from keeping up with Dead Kitchen Radio: The Keith R.A. DeCandido Podcast, but I finally recorded a new episode tonight. With that recording, and with a new year, comes a decision: I'm cutting DKR back to a monthly schedule. There's just no way, with all the stuff I've got planned for 2013, that I'm going to be able to maintain the twice-monthly grind, and I don't want to keep screwing up the schedule. Monthly makes that less likely, I think.

Here's my tentative schedule for 2013 so far:
January: Episode 27--Tales from the House Band Volume 2: "I Believe I'm Sinkin' Down."
February: Episode 28--Tales from Dragon Precinct Part 3: "Catch and Release"
March: Episode 29--Leverage: The Zoo Job
April: Episode 30--Ragnarok and Roll Part 1: "Love Over and Over"
May: Episode 31--The Marvel novels of the 1990s
June: Episode 32--Tales from Dragon Precinct Part 4: "Blood in the Water"
July: Episode 33--Ragnarok and Roll Part 2: "God of Blunder"

I also plan for the October episode to be a look at my Doctor Who fiction, in honor of that show's 50th anniversary.

All this is subject to change at my whim, but I think I can make this work.

You can find the old episodes of the podcast here.

midweek music: "Endless Highway"

For some reason, this song seems appropriate for the new year. This is a live version by The Band of "Endless Highway." (I actually prefer the version on Before the Flood, but YouTube was only able to provide the still-perfectly-good version on Live at Watkins Glen below...)

The Hebrew Hammer sequel -- with your help.....

The Hebrew Hammer is my second favorite holiday movie (after A Christmas Story). The world's only Jewsploitation film, it's a hysterically funny film starring Adam Goldberg in the title role.

Jonathan Kesselman has written a sequel -- The Hebrew Hammer vs. Hitler -- and now he needs funding to get it made. I've already pledged $18 (really all I can afford, but it's enough to get me a digital download of the film once it's made).

If nothing else, click on this link and watch the video accompanying the fundraiser. You'll be glad you did.

Shabbat shalom, motherfuckers.....
