"Cayo Hueso" Part 3: "Twisting Fate" on the Kindle and Nook for only $.99

If you want to preview Ragnarok and Roll: Tales of Cassie Zukav, Weirdness Magnet, the fine folks at Plus One Press have made the three-part story "Cayo Hueso" -- in which Cassie has two family reunions, meets the ghosts of Ernest Hemingway and Harry Truman, has a Thanksgiving dinner that can't be beat, and has to team up with Loki, Odin, and Sigyn to save Key West -- available for $.99 per part for the Kindle and Nook.

In the mishegoss of travel and conventions and nonsense, I totally forgot to mention when Part 3 went live, but it has now! You can get "Twisting Fate," the conclusion of the storyline, on the Kindle or Nook for the low low price of $.99.

Plus, also for a penny less than a buck each, you can get Part 1: "A Farewell to Cats" (Kindle | Nook) and Part 2: "The Buck Stops Here" (Kindle | Nook).

Or you can just get the whole short-story collection: you can get the trade from Amazon or from Barnes & Noble, or get it for Kindle or Nook, or you can stick it to the man and get it from Indie Bound.

Monday music: "Step by Step"

I've done this one before, but it's one that fits on so many levels: it was used for the season-ending montage of The Wire's first season, still the best cop show ever, and a huge inspiration for the Dragon Precinct books (I had just mainlined the second season of the show when I wrote DP), and the song fits the writing process in a number of ways........

Anyhow, this time, instead of Jesse Winchester's song, I'm going to do the actual season-ending montage. Probably won't make much sense if you haven't seen the show, but the song's still cool, either way...
