prague, tainted love

me on Hour of the Wolf talkin' Who

I will be joining Jim Freund for his Hour of the Wolf radio show this coming Wednesday night to preview the upcoming Doctor Who 50th anniversary special "Day of the Doctor," and also likely talk about the seven-minute prelude "Night of the Doctor." Jim and I will be joined by the mighty Carol Pinchefsky, pop-culture writer extraordinaire, and author James Ryan. (Useless trivia: back in the 1990s, Carol was my assistant at Byron Preiss.)

That'll be Wednesday night/Thursday morning (the 20th/21st) at 1.30am from midnight to 3am on WBAI, 99.5 FM in the New York Metropolitan Area, and also streaming on WBAI's web site. Check it out!

EDITED TO ADD: another guest, and hey, look, we'll be on longer!

Got another 1100+ words written this evening, bringing the novelization's word count to 15,533. Now it's 3.15am and I'm going to sleep the sleep of the accomplished. Dammit.

Monday music: "Tusk"

Here's Fleetwood Mac from their The Dance live album, performing my favorite song of theirs, "Tusk," who are joined during Mick Fleetwood's magnificently manic drum solo by the USC Marching Band (all wearing shades), who join in for the song's coda beautifully. Just a great version of a great song.

As an added bonus, here's the USC Marching Band doing it in Trafalgar Square without Mac.
