writing

irons in the fire update

Currently I'm some 5500 words into the mystery. I've been a bit stalled on it due to holiday festivizing, but I plan to dive into it full bore now that 2014 is upon us.

An urban fantasy that I've been working on here and there is now with an editor at a New York publisher -- he's got the fist four chapters and the outline, along with notions for what to do for potential second and third books.

I've got two tie-in pitches with an editor, and a little bird told me that one of them may turn into something (the other one won't, which is too bad, as it would be fun, but I get why they're not going for it).

I have to write a new Dragon Precinct story for Without a License, and another new one to submit to the next Sword and Sorceress anthology. I also want to submit a Cassie Zukav story to another anthology. And I have to write an SCPD story for another anthology. Wheeee!

At some point, I need to write Mermaid Precinct, and I want to get some more Olodumare Hegemony stuff for The Scattered Earth done.

And I've got an editorial project for a client to do this month, and another novel edit for Dark Quest as soon as the manuscript comes in.

Busy busy....

asking my loyal readers for a small favor

If I may ask a favor of my loyal readers....

Could you please like my stuff and also post reviews of my stuff on Amazon? Doesn't matter if you bought the book there or not, doesn't matter if it's a 100% favorable review or not, but the more reviews and especially the more likes that are on the site, the better it is for me. This will be especially beneficial for the Precinct books, Ragnarok and Roll, The Klingon Art of War (no reviews on that one, obviously, but the likes will help), SCPD: The Case of the Claw, and Guilt in Innocence.

Thanks muchly!
