Star Wars from a different POV

Over on Facebook, Adam-Troy Castro was trolling for examples of nonheroic behavior by theoretically heroic figures in TV and film. For example: "Tim Burton's Batman, strafing the Joker's gang with his batwing. (Least intrepid act ever committed by a screen superhero. And he MISSES the Joker!)" *

My favorite example in the comments came from a gentleman named Brian Siano: "Luke Skywalker. Aimless drifter from a rural area who joins up with a deranged fanatic, and blows up a government installation. Obi-Wan Kenobi: manipulates credulous yokel into terrorist acts with lies about his father and sister."

* I provided the example of the Ben Affleck Daredevil who sits and laughs and makes jokes while he lets a rapist get run over by the C train. What makes this despicable, murderous behavior even worse is that the reason for pursuing the rapist is because he "got off" for his crime. We saw this in a court case in which Matt Murdock was defending the victim. Which means it had to be a civil case, because in a criminal case the lawyer "defending" the victim is the DA, not a privately hired lawyer. In a civil case, the burden of proof is on the plaintiff. Which means this guy got off because Matt Murdock is a crappy lawyer, and Daredevil killed him for it.
