not cool, MTA
My local train station has elevators. However the downtown elevator has been busted. Which means disabled folks have to use the uptown elevator, take the train two stops to where you can cross over, and then go downtown. Inconvenient, but do-able.

Today, they're doing track work on the uptown side, so the uptown trains aren't stopping here. Which means disabled people are totally screwed.

Not cool, MTA. Not cool.

The MTA always screws disabled people. My friend aleja has been telling me for years how bad they are. I'm not surprised by this one bit.

Not just disabled people, but folks like me who are a bit daunted by having to climb essentially three flights on a see-through stairwell (I hate those!). It might cost more than twice as much but this is why I don't even hesitate to use the express bus most times.

Re: Hell-evator

Just how "See-through" are we talking about here?
